Son was killed by friend, 33-year-old father: The perpetrator looked at me askance when I asked about the son, he was aggressive
Majlind Habibi, 35, killed his friend, Branko Shkoza, after he alleged that the latter had harassed his wife. Habibi pushed his friend into the sewage canal, resulting in the 33-year-old's death.
The victim's father recounted the conversation with the perpetrator, where he also confessed that he was aggressive towards his family.
"I asked the author, 'is the boy lost?' He looked at me askance and left. They were together day and night. I started getting information that they had been gossiping. I don't know why they had argued. Then we heard 'he harassed my wife.' The author was aggressive, he beat his children, he beat his wife with an axe. This pushed me, I thought an aggressive person can do anything," declared the victim's father.
Majlind Habibi admitted to the crime and provided details about the motive for the incident.
"The reason for the fight was the fact that he had harassed my wife. I didn't want to kill him. But at one point I pushed him. I didn't mean to kill him. I asked him to stop harassing my wife. He answered me very badly, insulted me. He told me 'look, do something else because your wife will solve her own problems'. At this moment, my eyes darkened and I didn't think long. I pushed him and he ended up in the canal. I then left home and left him there. I didn't think he was dead, I told myself that he would get up again because he fell into the water. The second day I learned that he hadn't gone home. I went back the second day to the place where we had a fight, and I saw that his body had moved a few meters from the place. I didn't have the courage to tell what had happened. I panicked. When they found his body and the police and ambulance took him away, I said they won't understand, but they will think that he fell on his own because he was drinking alcohol. "I regret it a lot, but I didn't owe him anything. It was my fault," he told investigators.
