Macabre crime in Greece/ "I'm fine, don't report it",

A serious crime has shocked public opinion in Greece and Albania, where a 39-year-old Albanian man, Kastriot Cenko, brutally murdered his wife, Alba Cenko, just a week after their wedding. The incident occurred on November 28, when the perpetrator hit his wife in the head with a hammer and then strangled her. He wrapped the lifeless body in a sheet, put it in a plastic bag and hid it in the attic for a week.

To avoid suspicion, the perpetrator used the victim's phone to send messages to her sister, claiming that Alba had left for Italy with another man and advising her not to file a complaint.

At the time of the incident, the couple's two minor children were asleep. After they woke up, the perpetrator told them that their mother was at work and later took them to his brother. The crime was discovered a week later when the 39-year-old confessed everything to the authorities.

The event has caused deep shock and has brought attention back to the phenomena of domestic violence.
