The president of PL, Ilir Meta, explained why he supports Gruevski's VMRO-DPMNE party and not an Albanian party in North Macedonia.

In an interview for 'TV. The sign' in North Macedonia, Meta said that the cause was only the Open Balkans. 

"What I have appreciated in VMRO. is a clearer attitude, as far as the Open Balkans are concerned, and a very clear support for the Berlin Process.

Meanwhile, it is known from the other side that there has been a very friendly attitude in favor of the Open Balkans, with the exception of Mr. Pendarovksi, President Pendarovski, who I think has maintained a very fair, very principled position.
And, I have the best evaluations for him, and for his whole quite positive history, on many delicate issues", said Meta.
