View from the burned emergency of the QSUT, the work to repair the damage starts

On February 12, the QSUT emergency room was engulfed in flames. Despite the fact that almost two months have passed, the emergency room remains out of order for patients.

The Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, shared today on her official Facebook page, images from the emergency repair work showing the damage caused by the fire, which until now had not been made public.

"A few days ago, the work to repair the damage to the electrical network, caused by the incident that happened in February, has started in the Emergency Department of the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center. In the fight against time to return as soon as possible to this hospital structure and the service for cardiovascular emergencies, a service that is currently being offered at the "Shefqet Ndroqi" University Hospital, Fier Memorial Regional Hospital and Shkodra Regional Hospital", writes Koçiu.

However, the minister continues to deny the malfunctioning of the emergency room for patients, guaranteeing that the services were provided despite the damage caused.

"The Emergency Service at QSUT continues to provide service every day for all emergencies of internal diseases, gastrohepatology, nephrology, hematology, endocrinology, dermatology, allergology, rheumatology as well as all neurological emergencies", writes the minister.
