Clash with the police, six MEK members under investigation

Six members of the MEK have been criminally prosecuted for opposing the police during the control exercised in the Ashraf 3 camp, the day before.

Sources from the Durrës police inform Top Channel that until now criminal proceedings have been initiated against six of the Iranian residents of the camp in Manez in Durres for resisting the State Police.

The day before, the RENEA, FNSH, Operacionalia and blue uniform forces carried out a control operation in the territory that for years had been accessed only by the Mujahideen in Camp Ashraf 3 in Manez.

The Albanian authorities were looking for technological devices which are considered valuable for the investigations that SPAK has started for a long time, but this was not well received by the Mujahideen. Many of them violated the violation of privacy and aggression against vulnerable persons and refused the control.

While the authorities have reasonable doubts that the Mujahideen in Albania are carrying out operational actions against the state of Iran.

Some of them were organized in rallies against the actions of the police. According to the Mujahideen, the use of gas and spray by the police resulted in the loss of one person's life and the injury of 36 others. In order to clarify the causes of his death, an investigative group was set up by the police and the prosecutor's office of Durrës.

The State Police and the Ministry of the Interior, in their responses to the media, emphasized that no lives were lost due to police intervention and that all actions were in accordance with the law, preserving ethics and citizens' rights.
