"The school did not inform us", Martin Can's father testifies for the first time
Engjëll Cani, the father of Martin Cani, the 14-year-old who lost his life after being stabbed in the heart by Mario Perlleshi, testified for the first time to the police.
Cani was questioned for the first time about the incident this Wednesday.
He stated that he was not informed by the school or other authorities about the conflict his son had with the perpetrator 4 days before the incident.
Cani was also asked by Judicial Police Officers whether the family of the suspected perpetrator had contacted or met them after the incident, while Engjëlli says that to date nothing of the kind has happened.
Martin's father stated that his wife only received one phone call from the school about what had happened, and despite attempts to contact school staff, the phone was not answered. Martin's belongings were returned to Engjëll Can this Wednesday.
