The explosion in Ibër-Lepenc, Hovenier: the US supports the Kosovo

The American ambassador, Jeffrey Hovenier, issued a statement to the media after the meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, regarding the explosion in Ibër-Lepenc.

Hovenier reiterated that the US condemns the "attack on Kosovo's critical infrastructure" adding that it supports the investigation and that it will provide "full support" to the Kosovo authorities in the investigation of this attack.

"At this stage, the US is not in a position to say who is behind this attack... These things require careful investigation. What I can say is that we have offered support to the Kosovo authorities and we think it is important to have a credible investigation to identify the persons responsible and make sure that they are held accountable. What I can say at this point is that we cannot say who is responsible and we are not able to rule out any group, state or anything else. It is too early" , said Hovenier.
