Another corruption scandal in AZHBR, 6 inspectors suspended from duty (NAMES)

Corruption in the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (AZHBR) continues to raise serious concerns by abusing funds that are in the function of honest farmers.

This time, 6 inspectors from the AZHBR and the Directorate of Agriculture have abused the funds of the National Scheme, for this reason, the black squads of the Korça District Court have suspended the employees of these two directorates from duty. After the farmers' denunciations, the police directorate together with the Korça prosecutor's office launched investigations.

It is learned that before declaring the farmer the winner, the field inspectors artificially inflated the number of livestock registrations, where the money from registrations without animals benefited the field inspectors themselves who carry out verifications on the farms.

Specifically, three of those suspended, Alfred Bakalli, Andrea Miha and Julian Zgura, were tasked with verifying the number of livestock in the field, then liquidating farmers through the National Scheme in the farmer's bank account, a budget that is distributed by the general directorate of AZHBR, headed by Ardita Kuçi.

Meanwhile, a suspension measure has also been issued for the following employees:

Entela Gjata, employee of the Pogradec branch of AZHBR, Ermal Ibri, veterinarian of AKVMB, Dritan Cela, veterinarian of AKVMB Elbasan.

In addition to the suspension, the Prosecutor's Office has also ordered the suspects to appear before the prosecution until a final decision is made. This is not the first time that the AZHBR directorate has been involved in corruption scandals, where the money of the landowners goes to people who are far from agriculture, but close to the leaders./TCH
