Murder of Alfonso Kola, relatives of the victim: The perpetrator hated us since

Two years have passed since the murder of 33-year-old Alfonso Kola by Petrit Gega, and the Italian justice system has still not decided anything about this case.

Witnesses said Gega suffered from alcohol problems and was violent. "I did it because I heard voices, the spirits ordered me to do it," he said after he was arrested.

The perpetrator knew the victim's family back in Albania. Arbid Kola, the deceased's cousin, said he also knew Gega. He stressed that the perpetrator hated them because he thought they had broken his car window.

"He hated our family, he was angry with us. He thought we had broken his car window," he said.

Five years before the serious incident, Gega had also shot Arbid's brother and Alfonsi.

"They've been drinking. They've been feuding ever since. I was threatened myself. He tried to break my arm with a baseball bat. Gega wanted me to sell drugs for him," he said.

For all these reasons, the court requested a psychiatric report for the Albanian. According to him, Gega suffers from an aggressive personality disorder.

The violent fight between two Albanians started at the tables of a bar. Gega and Kola were both from the village of Kallmet i Vogël in Lezha. The 52-year-old stabbed the young man several times with a bread knife and left him bleeding in the middle of the street.

The injured man was urgently transported to the hospital, but despite the intervention of doctors, he was unable to survive his injuries and died.
