German MP: Mobilization of the Serbian army, attack on Europe

The German MP, Adis Ahmetovic and Chairman of the Subcommittee for International Climate and Energy Policy, has expressed his concern about the increase in destabilization in Europe. In a press statement, Ahmetovic emphasized that the dangerous game of autocratic forces in the Western Balkans is bringing a new dimension to this general crisis.

According to the social democratic politician, the military mobilization of Serbian forces on the northern border of Kosovo and the declaration of the president of "Republika Srpska", Milorad Dodik, about secession, are clear attacks on liberal democratic Europe. These actions aim to push the boundaries and thus cause further conflicts in Europe.

Ahmetovic stated that it is evident that there are close connections between the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the conflicts in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, but not everyone in the EU Commission is aware of this. He is of the opinion that the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has used the situation to create uncertainty and tension in the Western Balkans region.

At this difficult time, Ahmetovic calls for immediate action by Germany, the European Union states and NATO to prevent the worsening of the situation and to maintain peace and security in Europe.
