Government of Kosovo-Rama: We expect support, we do not need mediators

The spokesperson of the Government of Kosovo, Përparim Kryeziu, has said that they expect support from Albania, as far as the dialogue is concerned.

" We expect support from official Albania. We have many mediators" , Kryeziu told RTV Dukagjinin, regarding the draft statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, which was presented by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, to French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Kryeziu added that the issue of the four mayors in the north - three of whom needed assistance from the Kosovo Police to enter the relevant municipal facilities - is a matter of the constitution and the rule of law.

According to him, the issue of the previous agreements for the Association is "a matter of the functionality of the state of Kosovo, and this was proven with the draft presented by the Management Team led by Vučić's deputy, which aimed for a Republika Srbska in Kosovo and recently with The non-paper of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Serbia that talks about the 'Serbian World'".

"In both cases, the question is Kosovo. In both cases, the danger is Serbia", he added.

The prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has proposed a draft statute of the Association to the French president, Emmanuel Macron, and the German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, whom he described as the "godfathers" of the Franco-German plan.

In a press conference regarding the situation in the north of Kosovo, Rama stated that for him, the position of Kosovo remains incomprehensible and not that of Serbia.
