Tirana police react to Jozi's arrest after hitting Gjesti

Tirana Police have issued an official response following the arrest of Jozefin Marku, a Big Brother contestant who hit Gjesti.

Police say that proceedings were initiated against him while he was at large.

"Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 6: referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against citizen JM, 29 years old, after he slapped citizen BK during the broadcast of a reality show," the police announced.

The unacceptable act occurred during last night's live broadcast of Big Brother Albania. This unprecedented act was broadcast in real time and watched by a wide national audience.
