Abazovic: We will vote for the dismissal of President Djukanovic

The acting Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, said that the Assembly should vote on the URA initiative for the dismissal of President Milo Djukanovic.

Deputies of the parliamentary majority, the pro-Russian Democratic Front, the Democrats and the URA Civic Movement have started the procedure for the dismissal of the president, Milo Djukanovic, in the Assembly of Montenegro, on September 23.

In an interview for the Voice of America, Abazovic stated that Djukanovic violated the Constitution during the procedure for the appointment of the representative for the formation of the government.

"We are now a newly constituted majority, which supports the formation of a new Government, but it is quite diverse with different political entities, which have different visions. The solution will surely come in the elections, but it is not the president who will decide when those elections will take place" , said Abazovic.

After the overthrow of Abazovic's government with a motion of no confidence, the three parties that won the parliamentary majority agreed that Miodrag Lekic should be the mandate for the composition of the new government.

Djukanovic refused for Llekic to be a mandate for the formation of the new government, on the grounds that the necessary conditions have not been met.
