Balla and Balluku in Britain, PD: SP's mafia practices for vote diversion

The Democratic Party, Great Britain Branch, has publicly denounced the meetings of the two leaders of the Socialist Party, Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and Minister Taulant Balla, with Albanian exponents in Britain.

According to the DP, these meetings constitute a serious threat to the electoral process and are in open opposition to the electoral norms, both Albanian and British.

Full statement

The meetings of the two leaders of the Socialist Party, Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and Minister Taulant Balla, with Albanian exponents in Great Britain are a serious threat to the electoral process for Albanians living in the UK.

After preliminary verifications, we found that these meetings are in violation of electoral norms. Ms. Balluku met leaders of associations, which on behalf of immigration administer various funds, including financial resources from the UK budget. Their unilateral involvement alongside the SP, positions them, among other things, in violation of the principles of civil society and the platform announced by them.

Meetings of Mr. Balla, were also in violation of electoral practices. They were held in school premises, the theme was political and partisan, unfortunately in the presence of the ambassador, who in Britain should represent the Republic of Albania and not the SP, be fair, professional and within the diplomatic framework.

Also present at the aforementioned meetings were "journalists and reporters of national televisions", each one waiting for benefits in the UK or Albania, as the case may be.

We now have the moral right to publicly express not only the concern, but also the denunciation of the deviation of the Albanian vote in the UK, through promises and benefits of all kinds, since the SP has strengthened its financial and corrupt tentacles internationally.

The Democratic Party - Great Britain Branch, denounces the fraudulent practices of vote diversion by the SP also in the diaspora, through these categories activated in the name of the Albanian community in Great Britain.

The Albanian community in Britain needs to be informed, how, how much, and where these structures are financed, both from the British and Albanian budgets. On the other hand, the legal mechanisms will be looked at to verify if black money funds from the criminal activity of exponents in the service of the SP will be used in the campaign.

We call on individuals, associations, and Albanian structures with "independent" activity in the UK to give up activities contrary to Albanian and British electoral norms and to stop the election campaign based on the electoral buying and selling process.
