The father of the young man who killed himself speaks with tears in his eyes: I

Dritan Lalaj, originally from Frakulla e Vogël e Fieri, was found without signs of life in his apartment in Hamburg, Germany.

It is suspected that he killed himself, an act which the young Albanian had attempted to commit several other times. According to relatives, the 33-year-old had written a letter to his cousin two weeks ago, letting him know that he would leave this world.

The incorrectness of the payment by the owner is suspected to have been the cause, according to the family, that pushed Dritan Lalaj to this tragic act.

He was the only son of the family. His mother passed away 5 years ago, while his father, now sick and without income, Fitim (Gori) Lalaj remains alone and in miserable economic conditions.

Shocked by the loss of his only son, the elderly man tells the media through tears that the last phone call he had with his son was three days ago where he told him that after the suicide attempt two weeks ago, he calmed down by promising that he will not repeat it again.

Amid illness and extreme poverty, the 33-year-old's father appeals for help to return his son's body.

" I talked to him and he told me not to do this again. He was the biggest financial help, I don't even have a pension, nothing. We are asking for help, I have no other family members, only the church ," he said.

Meanwhile, the relative Mezin Kacaku claims that 25,000 euros are needed for the return of the body, a sum for which the Albanians in Hamburg have agreed to collect quickly, while emphasizing that the residents of the area will also try to show solidarity.
