Igli Tare, master of the transfer market, gives Milan 200 million euros

Since signing for Milan on May 26, former Lazio sporting director Igli Taren hasn't stopped for a second, he's transformed the squad, even resolving some difficult issues.

The revolution implemented by the sporting director is complete, from the selection of Massimiliano Allegri as coach to the seven official signings to date, while awaiting the final blow of the transfer window.

But his impact has been seen particularly in the transfer market, as he has managed to sell players at unimaginable prices.

Suffice it to say that Milan sold Malick Thiaw to Newcastle for around 40 million euros, including bonuses, well above his real market value (taking into account the two years remaining on the contract) and with the sale to the English club, the Rossoneri recorded a huge capital gain.

Apart from selling Reijnders at the highest level (Man. City), he managed to find a loan solution for many surplus players, accommodating Camarda, Bondo, Terraciano, Liberali, Pobega, Colombo and many players who needed to play elsewhere.

Also crucial was the permanent sale of Emerson Royal to Flamengo, a player who could no longer continue at Milan, mainly for adaptation reasons. The €10m fee for the Brazilian was a good bargain. Meanwhile, the possible sale of Okafor to Leeds for €21m including bonuses, again on a permanent basis, is now imminent. In this case, another significant capital gain would be recorded for the club.

To be clear, the guaranteed amount already collected is 165.5 million euros, which in the case of bonuses could reach 200 million euros (221 million euros with Okafor). New money, which has put the books in order.

Maignan's contract is expiring, Tare is insisting on a renewal

The new sporting director also had to deal with the complicated cases of Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan. The former was sold to Simone Inzaghi's Al-Hilal for 25 million euros, thus resolving an internal problem that could no longer be postponed.

In fact, this was the summer in which the Rossoneri could have benefited from selling the Frenchman; the following year he would have left on a free transfer. Instead, both Tare and Allegri were key in securing Mike Maignan, who had already reached an agreement with Chelsea. The Albanian sporting director convinced the team captain to stay and will try to convince him to renew his contract.

Modric and Jashari's signatures

The signature of the two most important transfers also bears the name of Igli Tare. The trip to Croatia to personally convince the former Ballon d'Or winner was confirmed by Luka Modric himself. A quick attack that allowed the 'Devils' to overcome the competition and take possession of the former Real Madrid player.

Even more significant is the operation of Ardon Jashari. Milan worked intensively for two months to secure the approval of Club Brugge, Tare kept in daily contact with the midfielder, ensuring him during the most complex stages of the negotiations. It was a signing that Tare wanted more than anyone else at the club and Jashari stressed this several times during the presentation conference, publicly thanking the sporting director for bringing him to Milan.

Now the final signings and sales remain, in a transfer market that has profoundly changed the face of Milan with Tara's 'blonde' image.
