Ismail Kadare is re-nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature  

The genius of Albanian letters, Ismail Kadare has been re-nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature by the Academy of Sciences of Albania.

Through social networks, ASH has announced that on January 28, in honor of the 85th anniversary of the writer Ismail Kadare, will be held in the hall "Academics", the scientific event on "Ismail Kadare, Albanian writer in world literature."

It is also announced that in this event, Kadare will be re-nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature.

The Academy of Sciences of Albania, in honor of the 85th anniversary of academician Ismail Kadare, will organize a scientific event on "Ismail Kadare, Albanian writer in world literature." The event will be held on January 28, 2021, at 12.00, at the Academy of Sciences, in the "Academics" hall.

In this activity, the opening speech will be given by the President of the Academy of Sciences, acad. Skënder Gjinushi.

This will be followed by a lecture on "Kadare in European world literature", which will be held by the director of the National Library in Tirana, Mr. Pirro Misha, and further the statement of the researcher of Albanian literature, prof. Bashkim Kuçukut, with the topic “Kadare in world criticism, an encyclopedic presentation of the internationalization of the work of the Albanian writer; presentation of the first two volumes "Kadare in French Criticism".

Following these announcements, the announcement of the re-nomination of the writer Ismail Kadare for the Nobel Prize in Literature will be given by the President of the Academy of Sciences, acad. Skënder Gjinushi and then will open the photo exhibition with photos and evidence related to key moments in the life of the writer, prepared by Roland Tasho.
