Economic inequality deepens year after year/ Tirana has the highest per capita income of 134% of the average

Year after year, the economic disparity is deepening between Tirana and other regions, because the economy of the capital is growing at a higher rate than the economy of the poorest region in the country, Kukes.

As a result, instead of narrowing, the rates of convergence are deepening, according to official data from INSTAT for the GDP of the Regions in 2021 that was published today.

The highest level of GDP per capita according to statistical regions at the district level, in 2021, was in Tirana, with 886 thousand Lek and marked an increase in nominal terms of 13.83%, compared to 2020.

The GDP per capita of this district was 134% above the national average.

On the other hand, in the poorest district of the country, Kukësi had a GDP per capita of 395 thousand Lek, marking an increase in nominal terms by 8.74%, compared to 2020. The GDP per capita of this district was 59 percent of the national average.

Fier County with 714 thousand Lek GDP per capita marked an increase in nominal terms of 14.29%, compared to 2020.

The GDP per capita of this district was 8.17% above the national average and Gjirokastër District with 683 thousand Lek, which marked an increase in nominal terms of 10.68%, compared to 2020. The GDP per capita of this district was 3 ,40% above the national average.

Furthermore, the Lezhë District follows with the lowest GDP per capita with about 461 thousand Lek, marking an increase in nominal terms of 12.02% compared to 2020.

The GDP per capita of this district was 30.19% below the average of the country and the Shkodër district with 467 thousand Lek, marking an increase in nominal terms by 13.20% compared to 2020. The GDP per capita of this district was 29.25% below the national average.

In 2021 in the North, the GDP per capita was 525 thousand Lek, marking an increase in nominal terms by 13.42%, compared to 2020. The GDP per capita of this region is 20.49% below the national average.

In the Center statistical region, the GDP per capita is 795 thousand Lek and there was an increase in nominal terms by 14.03%, compared to 2020. The GDP per capita of this region was 20.36% above the national average.

In the South statistical region, the GDP per capita is 599 thousand Lek, marking an increase in nominal terms by 12.84%, compared to 2020. The GDP per capita of this region is 9.25% below the national average.

Rritja ekonomia, Tirana dhe Durrësi nivelin më të lartë

Në vitin 2021PBB me çmime korrente u vlerësua 1.856.172 milionë Lekë, duke shënuar një rritje në terma realë prej rreth 8,91%, krahasuar me vitin 2020.

Kontributin më të madh në rritjen ekonomike për vitin 2021, e ka dhënë Qarku Tiranë me +4,93 pikë përqindje, pasuar nga Qarku Durrës me +1,07 pikë përqindje dhe Qarku Fier me një kontribut prej +0,66 pikë përqindje.

Kontributin më të ulët në rritjen ekonomike e ka dhënë Qarku Kukës me +0,07 pikë përqindje, i pasuar nga Qarku Gjirokastër me një kontribut prej +0,08 pikë përqindje dhe Qarku Berat me një kontribut prej +0,11 pikë për qind.

Në vitin 2021, sipas rajoneve statistikore në nivel 2, PBB me çmime korente në rajonin Veri ishte 415,2 miliardë Lekë ose 22,37% ndaj totalit të vendit. Krahasuar me vitin 2020, në rajonin Veri, PBB në terma reale shënoi një rritje me 8,43%.

PBB me çmime korente në rajonin Qendër, ishte 936,4 miliardë Lekë ose 50,45% ndaj totalit të PBB-së. Krahasuar me vitin 2020, për rajonin Qendër, PBB në terma reale shënoi një rritje prej 10,84%.

PBB me çmime korente në rajonin Jug ishte 504,6 miliardë Lekë ose 27,18% ndaj totalit të vendit. Krahasuar me vitin 2020, në rajonin Jug, PBB në terma reale shënoi një rritje prej 5,83%.

Sipas rajoneve statistikore në nivel 3 (Qark), rritjen reale më të lartë të PBB-së e shënoi Qarku Tiranë me një rritje në terma reale prej 11,49%, i ndjekur nga Qarku Durrës me një rritje në terma reale prej 10,74% dhe Qarku Vlorë me një rritje në terma reale prej 9,42% të PBB-së për vitin 2021, krahasuar me vitin 2020. Rritjen reale më të ulët të PBB-së e shënoi Qarku Berat, duke shënuar një rritje në terma reale prej 3,03%, më tej renditet Qarku Gjirokastër me një rritje në terma reale prej 3,56% dhe Qarku Korçë me një rritje në terma reale prej 4,29% të PBB-së për vitin 2021, krahasuar me vitin 2020.

PBB për frymë në PPS për vitin 2021 për Republikën e Shqipërisë është 31,73% e mesatares së Bashkimit Evropian BE_27 = 100 (shih shënime metodologjike).
