Durrës Police have prevented a criminal incident, arresting three people suspected of threatening a 44-year-old man with a firearm. The police operation codenamed “Intervention” ended successfully, leading to the arrest of citizens YM, 40 years old, BR, 30 years old, and BC, 30 years old, all residents of Tirana.

The suspected perpetrators are accused of having, for weak motives, threatened a citizen with a firearm on “Pavarësia” Street. At the time of the intervention, the Police found and seized 3 firearms (Kalashnikov and pistol), combat ammunition, an armored vehicle and a radio connected to the communication channels of the Durrës Local Police Directorate.

One of the arrested, YM, has a criminal record for armed robbery. During a search of the apartment of citizen BR's father, another firearm, a pistol, was found, which was also seized.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Durrës, for further investigations. This operation underlines the commitment of the State Police to prevent and combat crime, while guaranteeing the safety of citizens.
