Hungary supports Serbia, opposes Kosovo's membership in European

The head of Hungarian diplomacy, Peter Szijjarto, has said that they will vote against Kosovo's membership in European mechanisms. He also expressed that he believes that Kosovo's membership in European mechanisms before reaching a compromise agreement with Serbia would jeopardize the dialogue process.

"Our position is that it would endanger the achievement of a compromise if certain European formations would accept Kosovo before the agreement was reached.

And for this reason, Hungary will vote against Kosovo's membership in the European bodies" , he said in a press conference after the meeting with Ivica Dacic, Kosovo media write.

As Szijjarto declared, "Hungary is really interested in reaching a solution based on a real dialogue".
