The protest in front of the municipality of Tirana has been closed. Citizens and the opposition protested, demanding the removal of Mayor Erion Veliaj.
The protesters called on Veliaj to leave the municipality. The opposition MPs called Veliaj the leader of the "5D" gang and declared that those who put their hands in the pockets of Albanians will be held accountable.
Molotov cocktails, capsules, apples and oranges were thrown in the direction of the municipality.
The police again prevented the opposition councilors from entering the municipality. The first to break the metal cord was Tedi Blushi, who collided with the officers, while holding the red and black flag.
The protestors managed to tear down a part of the cordon amid the tensions and clashes, as they announced that they will be in front of Veliaj's office again next Friday.
