The affair with the Fier incinerator, Lefter Koka is sentenced to 10 years in

Former minister Lefter Koka was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has today given the verdict for Lefter Koka, Alqi Bllakon and 13 other defendants, who are accused of the Fier incinerator affair.

Koka was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but with a shortened trial the sentence was reduced to 6 years and 8 months in prison, after he was found guilty of charges of "corruption", "abuse of duty" and "money laundering" in connection with the incinerator Ferit.

Today, GJKKO gave the decision for the former deputy of the SP, Alqi Blako, regarding the Fier incinerator affair.

Blako was sentenced to 4 years in prison, but with the shortened trial he will serve 2.8 years in prison.

Likewise, Klodian Zoto, the administrator of the concession company, is sentenced to 12 years and with a shortened trial will serve 8 years in prison.

Zoto is accused of corruption, fraud, VAT fraud schemes and money laundering. 

Albert Dervishi, Arjola Kodra and Juri Imeraj were declared innocent.

Pellumb Abeshi, the former official of the Ministry of Environment, has been sentenced to 3.6 years in prison, but with a shortened trial he will serve 2.4 years in prison.
