The Deputy Minister of Interior, Romina Kuko, has been appointed mayor of the Tirana Municipal Council, after the departure of Toni Gogu from this position.

The news was confirmed by Kuko himself, as through a post on social networks he states: "it is an honor and privilege to give the contribution to this institution by following colleagues like Toni Gogu".

"Honor and privilege of appreciation and trust to serve as Mayor of Tirana; following a valuable colleague like Toni Gogu and a team of prominent councilors, confident that together we will continue the good work of our Tirana" , writes Kuko .

Gogu left the head of the municipal council to be appointed prefect of the Tirana District, replacing Suzana Jahollari.
