The State Police has announced the measures taken regarding the international activity "The 81st Cycling Tour of Albania", which will take place on 20.05.2024 and end on 24.05.2024.

The cycling activity includes 4 stages of races with long itineraries on some of the national road sections, while the police have announced the axes that will be blocked and how the diversion of vehicle traffic will be done.

Notification: 

The State Police, as part of the measures for securing and running the 81st cycling tour of Albania, which takes place in 4 stages, with a total itinerary of 723 km of roads for public use, requests the understanding and cooperation of citizens to avoid the roads where cycling races take place.

Since the cycling activity takes place in some of the main national axes with high attendance, therefore the security measures from the organizers and the State Police will be high, in relation to the need to guarantee the safety of the participants in these races.

The cycling activity starts with the first stage, at 12.00 on 20.05.2024, from "Skenderbej" square, Tirana and ends in Korça.

The second stage starts at 12.00 on 21.05.2024, from Korça and ends in Elbasan.

The third stage starts at 12.00 on 22.05.2024, from Elbasan-Kuçovo-Ura vajgurore-Lushnje and ends in Vlora.

The fourth stage starts at 12.00 on 23.05.2024, from Vlora-Lumi i Vlora-Himarë and ends in Llogara.

The fifth and last stage starts at 10.00 on 24.05.2024, from Vlora and ends in Fier.

In order to avoid traffic delays, due to security measures, the State Police asks for the understanding of all road users, that in the itineraries and schedules of the races, traffic with vehicles should be avoided as much as possible, and roads should be used. alternative.
