The Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime has completed the investigations for the Elbasan incinerator.
The prosecutor of the case announced this Thursday the lawyers of the defendants, among them the former Minister of the Environment, Lefter Koka and Klodian Zotos.
The lawyers have up to 10 days to make their claims related to the conclusions of the investigations, and then the file is transferred to the GJKKO, while the latter decides whether or not to proceed to trial in a preliminary hearing.
For the incinerator of Elbasan, the former minister Lefter Koka is in prison, while a security measure has been given to Pëllumb Abesh, former chairman of the Commission for the award of the incinerator, Bardhyl Çabiri, former member of the Commission from the Municipality of Elbasan, Etleva Kondi, former member of the Commission for granting the concession, Jonida Zeqo, former member of the Commission for granting the concession, Serafin Papa, former member of the Commission for granting the concession.
Klodian Zoto and Stela Gugallja have been announced as wanted.
Assets were seized from the Elbasan incinerator: 14 apartments with a total living area of 1356 m²; 3 commercial units with a total usable area of 297 m²; 1 real estate of the land type with an area of 147 m² and a building of 126 m² and 8 commercial companies and all assets owned by commercial companies.
