Ardian Gjini replaces Ramush Haradinaj, elected as AAK leader

Ardian Gjini is elected chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo at the party's General Assembly, taking over the leadership of AAK, succeeding Ramush Haradinaj.

Gjini, who is also the AAK's nominee for prime minister, told the delegates that he feels proud of the trust given and the party's political journey.

"It is an honor to be one of you, it is an honor to be part of this extraordinary party, of such extraordinary people. Thank you very much to each of you. I am excited, like each of you ," he declared before taking over the leadership of the party.

He added that Haradinaj's figure will remain marked in the history of Kosovo.

"I am absolutely convinced that the history of Kosovo and Ramush Haradinaj will be written in golden letters," he declared.

At the end of his speech, Gjini thanked Haradinaj for his cooperation over the years.
