The chairman of the Vetëvendosje Movement in Skenderaj, Hyseni Mehani, has said that he was physically attacked by the mayor of this municipality, Sami Lushtaku.

This statement on behalf of Mehani was posted on Facebook by Bahri Zabeli, a member of LVV in Skenderaj.

The Telegraph has contacted Zabeli, who confirmed that they are in the hospital, but have not yet reported to the Police, who according to him have already been notified.

"We are in the hospital. We were attacked by Sami Lushtak. Me and Hysni Mehani. We were in a cafe, they came and attacked us, Sami, directly. The police were there, we did not give a statement because we are in the hospital," Zabeli told Telegraf.
