Elections in Kosovo/ CEC certifies 902 candidates for MPs from 21 political

The Central Election Commission has certified 902 candidates for deputies from 21 political entities, participating in the early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, which will be held on June 7, 2026.

The certified candidates represent 17 political parties, 3 coalitions and 1 independent candidate. Of this total number of candidates, 593 are men and 309 are women.

The CEC also announced that it has approved the design of the ballot for postal voting and the formulas for the composition of the Polling Station Councils and counting teams at the NCC.

The commission clarified that the approved ballot will only be used for postal voting, which will begin on May 25 and end on June 6, 2026.

According to the Electoral Regulation for registration and voting outside Kosovo, the CEC will ensure that voters registered for voting by mail, among other things, are sent their ballots by mail.

"In the next item on the agenda, the CEC decided to approve the formula for the composition of the Conditional Polling Station Councils. According to the approved formula, the CEC, in the coming days, will appoint 214 members of the Conditional Polling Station Councils, who will be nominated by political entities. On election day, conditional voting will be enabled in 52 polling stations, within 38 voting centers," the announcement states.
