European Union suspends funds for Serbia

The EU has suspended financial support for Serbia due to Belgrade's policy towards the judicial system, EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos said .

"At this point, we have suspended all payments (to Serbia) under the development plan, because we are again seeing regression in the justice system. Until this is corrected, the country will not be able to receive financial support from the EU ," Kos said at a press conference.

Earlier, media reported that Brussels was considering blocking 1.5 billion euros in aid due to links to Russia.
