There is no peace for Vučić, thousands of students protest again

Thousands of protesters gathered this afternoon in central Belgrade to demand new parliamentary elections, aiming to give new impetus to the anti-corruption movement that was born after the tragic collapse of the Novi Sad railway station in November 2024.

Since that event, protests in Serbia have not completely stopped.

The movement has known periods of mass mobilization, such as the March 2025 protests, which were attended by around 300,000 people, but also phases with lower participation.

The students on the blockade and the citizens who support them gathered at the Faculty of Agriculture.  The students, who quickly took the lead in the protests, hope that today's demonstration will revive the momentum of the protest and push President Aleksandar Vučić to call early elections.

Under the slogan "Students Win", organizers called on citizens to gather at Slavija Square, in the heart of the Serbian capital, where the largest protests in the last 18 months have taken place.
