The Association of European Journalists has reacted after the behavior of Socialist MP Pandeli Majko towards the journalist of Euronews Albania, Eksiola Shehu. Majko pushed the pregnant journalist when she asked about the open lists.
In a reaction on Facebook, AEJ condemns Majko's behavior and requests a response from the speaker of the Assembly, Elisa Spiropali, to protect the rights of journalists from behavior that harms their work and mission, calling it an act of intimidation.
"The Association of European Journalists (AEJ), Albania branch, condemns the behavior of the former prime minister and MP Pandeli Majko towards journalists today in the premises of the Parliament.
The forced pushing of journalists Eksiola Shehu, Raziela Myslimaj, Fjoralba Beleshi, who ethically and professionally asked for a public reaction, is a reprehensible and intimidating act towards the media.
