Djukanovic: Structures from Belgrade aimed to destabilize Kosovo and attack KFOR

Milo Djukanovic, the former President of Montenegro, has stated that behind the so-called "S.Ç. affair" were hidden powerful political and security structures from Serbia, which aimed to destabilize Montenegro and damage Kosovo's image at a delicate moment for the region.

In an interview with Television E, Djukanovic stated that the main objective of this operation was to compromise the KFOR mission and its military leaders.

"The aim was to damage the credibility of KFOR and its command in Kosovo. For this, according to our information, 27 girls were being prepared who would approach senior officials of the mission. Among them was S.Ç." , he declared.

According to the former Montenegrin president, the Podgorica authorities had obtained information that the girls were training at the Obiliq club stadium in Belgrade.

" Fortunately, KFOR and UNMIK managed to provide information in time and stop this activity ," he added.

Djukanovic claims that Serbian military counterintelligence structures, linked to the regime of Slobodan Milosevic and the cabinet of former Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica, were behind the operation.

According to him, these circles believed that the tension in the situation in Kosovo would hinder or delay its international recognition. He emphasized that the “S.Ç.” affair was part of a broader strategy against the independence of Montenegro and the Euro-Atlantic processes in the Balkans.
