EC President in the Western Balkans this week: My visit sends a clear signal

The President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, is expected to visit 6 Western Balkan countries this week.

In a post on social media, he stated that he will remain among the six EU partners in the Western Balkans, as part of the ongoing European commitment to the region.

Costa added that his visit sends a clear signal about the seriousness of the European Union in relation to the prospect of enlargement, emphasizing that this possibility is real and current.

"This week I will visit our six partners in the Western Balkans. My visit to the region sends a clear signal: our commitment to the Western Balkans is real; and so is the possibility of enlargement," Costa stressed.

Costa is expected to hold meetings with leaders of the countries of the region to discuss the European integration process and the necessary reforms in this regard.
