The joint conference between Prime Minister Edi Rama and his Dutch counterpart, Mark Rutte, has started, who visited Tirana today. Rama said that the visit comes at an important moment, while emphasizing that the Netherlands is in favor of opening negotiations for Albania.

He added that he spoke with Rutte about co-operation in the field of security and the fight against organized crime. The Prime Minister stressed that France, the Netherlands and Germany are ready to formally start the negotiation process, while adding that a stalemate should be resolved with Bulgaria.

"This is a very special moment, the visits of friends are always special. He had to win 4 pairs of elections to come to Albania. Besides being in Albania today, he is coming at an important moment. As you know, the Netherlands has supported the call for the intergovernmental conference on Albania.

We talked about cooperation in the field of security and organized crime and we are convinced that the progress made will increase as a result of increasing the available capacities.

We know very well that France, the Netherlands and Germany are ready to formally start the negotiation process, but a stalemate must be resolved with Bulgaria. "I thank Mark for the efforts they have made for Bulgaria ," Rama said.
