Rama dismissed her, but her 'shadow' remained. "Bela's' two people in the new government cabinet

Yesterday evening brought a 'storm' to the government cabinet.

Prime Minister Edi Rama dismissed Belinda Balluku from the positions of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, after leading a 3-month battle to defend her in the face of the Special Prosecution's investigation for the criminal offense of violating equality in tenders. 

But Balluk's dismissal itself has raised some questions as there are elements that indicate that her departure does not seem as real as it seems. 

This is due to the fact that to replace her two important positions, Rama chose to appoint, not without purpose, two non-political figures, but characters from the administration and subordinates of Balluk himself.

The latter, before leaving, apparently chose to formally leave, but her shadow continues to remain in the Rama government. 

Ermal Nufi

Specifically, Ermal Nufi was appointed to the position of Minister of Defense.

The latter, until yesterday, held the position of Director of the Cabinet of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

Since 2021, Nufi has held the position of Legal Advisor to the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.

Subsequently, by decision of the Council of Ministers, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of the Albanian Road Authority, member of the Steering Board of the State Cadastre Agency, and ex-officio chaired the Board of the State Geospatial Information Agency.

Enea Karakaçi

Enea Karakaçi is the new name at the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, a figure who until recently operated away from public attention, but with a key role in the energy sector.

Karakaçi rose professionally within the energy structures, being considered one of the closest associates of former Minister Belinda Balluku. He was placed in charge of OSHEE, an institution that manages the distribution of electricity and investments with considerable financial values. S.Gj
