The well-known journalist of the Voice of America, Rudina Dervishi, has passed

Rudina Dervishi, the well-known journalist and presenter of the TV show "Diary" of the Voice of America, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 53, after a two-year battle with breast cancer.

Her premature departure is a great loss for her family and her colleagues at the Voice of America Albanian Service.

For more than 25 years, Rudina made a valuable contribution with her professionalism as a passionate journalist, covering diverse topics from economics, politics, human and women's rights, to art.

We, her VOA colleagues, will remember Rudina for her insight, dynamism, humor and dedication.

She left behind her husband, three sons and mother./VOA/
