"Release weapons", Russian Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev calls on Mariupol resistance

Russian Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, director of the Russian National Center for Defense Management, has called on the Ukrainian resistance in Mariupol to turn in their weapons. His comments were made at a conference broadcast by the defense ministry, according to Reuters.
"A terrible humanitarian catastrophe has developed," said Colonel-General Mizintsev.
Ukrainian and Western politicians and defense forces have blamed Russia for the humanitarian catastrophe.
"All those who hand over their weapons have a safe passage from Mariupol," the military leader added, adding that humanitarian corridors would open from Mariupol at 10 a.m. Monday, Moscow time.
