Albanian crime boss Alket Dauti secretly returns to Britain after belgium conviction

Albanian crime boss Alket Dauti secretly returns to Britain after belgium

Alket Dauti, an Albanian crime boss and leader of a migrant-smuggling gang, has managed to sneak back to the UK after completing half of his decade-long sentence in Belgium. Dauti, who was known for organizing the smuggling of migrants, including children, in refrigerated trucks from Belgium, was arrested in London in 2018.

After being extradited to Belgium and receiving a ten-year prison sentence for running the smuggling operation, Dauti, according to the Daily Mail article, managed to return to Britain illegally.

He was convicted in absentia and deported from Belgium, but is reported to have travelled to Europe last year. Meanwhile, his social media accounts, including TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, show he has been living in London since November last year.

Mail on Sunday journalists revealed Dauti has posted a video on TikTok driving down a residential street in London, but later removed the video from the platform. When asked by reporters, Dauti said he had documents allowing him to return to Britain and denied he had committed any crime in the country. However, the Home Office has no information regarding his return to the UK and this has led to the conclusion that he entered illegally.

Dauti, who had been arrested along with his cousins, Carey Dauti and Sabah Zaka, who also received sentences in absentia in Belgium, are now in Britain fighting extradition.
