Corruption in the presidential family? Bardhi publishes documents: Begaj's son receives 30 thousand euros from the company contracted by the Presidency

The Chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has published documents that, according to him, prove illegal benefits for the family members of President Bajram Begaj.

 In a reaction on Facebook, Bardhi accuses the head of state of corruption and conflict of interest, officially demanding his dismissal.

 "As always, Bajram Begaj spoke, but said nothing! What prevented the President from claiming that his son is paid without being in Albania at all by the company with which the Presidency has a contract for all the institution's procurements? No matter how much the disgraced President evades and twists, the answer is only one: corruption and illegal profiteering by the President," Bardhi writes.

According to documents published by the opposition, President Begaj's son lives in Germany, where he works as a doctor and is paid by a German hospital.

 But just six months after his father's appointment as head of state, he has started receiving payments in Albania as well — specifically from the insurance company with which the Presidency has an active contract for procurement services. The amount of the payment? About 30 thousand euros per year.

Bardhi emphasizes that this is just one of the scandalous cases for which the opposition has demanded the dismissal of President Bajram Begaj, warning that "there are other cases that will be published soon."

A brief explanation of them: The President's son lives in Germany, where he is paid by a hospital as a doctor. But, 6 months after his father was appointed president, he is also paid in Albania by the insurance company, with which the presidency has a procurement contract. The payment is 30 thousand euros per year.

This is just one of the scandalous cases for which we have demanded the dismissal of the disgraced President Bajram Begaj. There are others. Therefore, the Parliament cannot close its eyes to corruption, which starts at the top of the state.
