DP demands investigation into Rama's friend: Stefano Boeri under investigation in Italy, untouchable in Albania

DP demands investigation into Rama's friend: Stefano Boeri under

The head of the Anti-Corruption Department at the Democratic Party, Genta Vangjeli, in a statement to the media said that the Italian architect and friend of Rama, Stefano Boeri, is under investigation by Italian authorities for corruption affairs.

Vangjeli stated that unlike Italy, in our country, Boeri is building projects that are not related to the needs of the community, but to Rama's interests.

Vangjeli demanded, on behalf of the DP, an immediate investigation of all these projects in Albania and the bringing of all those responsible to justice.

DECLARATION:

Italian architect Stefano Boeri, a personal friend of Prime Minister Edi Rama, with a formalized business in the heart of Blloku in Tirana, is currently under investigation in Italy for corruption related to 'uncontrolled construction expansion'.

In Albania, his urban vision is not at all connected to the needs of the community, but to a development model dictated by Rama's clientelist interests, bypassing public consultation and without any sensitivity to the city's historical identity.

While Tirana suffers from a lack of public spaces, greenery, public transportation, and other basic services for citizens, Boeri designed projects that only serve to embellish the facade of a corrupt government that has no connection with ordinary residents.

Specifically, the projects that bear his name are:

'Orbital Forest 030', etc...

All of these projects share the same philosophy: benefiting the powerful and the oligarchs, while the ordinary citizen remains excluded from decision-making and benefiting.

The difference lies in the fact that while in Italy justice functions and no one suspected of breaking the law is excluded from investigations, in Albania the Prime Minister's friends are excluded from investigations despite continuous denunciations by the opposition and the Democratic Party for uncritical construction, money laundering, and urban planning abuses.

Today, while Stefano Boeri faces Italian justice, the city of Tirana faces the consequences of an urban model built on corruption, lack of transparency, and clientelistic agreements.

The Democratic Party insists on its demand for an immediate investigation of all these projects in Albania and bringing all those responsible to justice.

The future of Albania cannot be built on the concrete of inequality, propaganda, and abuse of power.
