Bajram Begaj's first speech as president of Albania

Bajram Begaj was sworn in as the new president of the Assembly of Albania. In his first speech as sworn-in president of the Republic of Albania, Begaj said that he will be at the service of the citizens.

Meanwhile, he called on the political forces to cooperate in order to advance the European Albania.

Part of Begaj's speech:

Honorable Madam President of the Assembly, Honorable Mr. Prime Minister, Honorable Ministers, MPs, Ambassadors, representatives of religious communities, dear citizens! It is an honor for me to address the Assembly as the president of the republic. I am aware that the responsibility of national unity weighs on the privilege of the President of the Republic. Our beloved Albania has entered an irreversible European path.

Today's promise and tomorrow's reality, European Albania is the crown of the most beautiful dream, it is the fulfillment of the centuries-old dream and the blessing of the future. I know and support the Albanian opposition.

I would like to never see conflict before cooperation. The period we are living in is one of the most difficult since the Second World War. Russian pressure has plunged the country into another crisis.

Albania and the Albanians are lined up on the right side alongside the allies. We must respect decisions, not avoid tasks and not take advantage of difficult moments. This is the only way we respect the hope of our citizens.
