In the plenary session being held this afternoon, the voting process for the new mayor proposed by the majority, Niko Peleshi, is taking place.

Meanwhile, Democratic MPs have boycotted the process by clapping their hands on the table, while all Democrats have thrown posters with accusations against the government into the ballot boxes.

Even the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has thrown a banner inside the box with the inscription "Albania 2030, McGonigal, the Russian-Chinese Cartel".
